A Message from the Youth Leadership Team
Youth Sunday 2021 Feedback
Good morning! Gregg and I feel like we just worshipped with you all this morning through the links. It's so refreshing to see all of your faces and hear your voices! I was really moved with Avery's sermon and the Time for Adults video (aka teary). You all have touched us and made us think about filling our own ark with our faith. It's reassuring to know that we are all in this together, and acknowledging the loss and challenges that we all have felt this year whether we are old or young. Thank you for keeping this Youth Sunday tradition alive and being so thoughtful. The music was soothing and uplifting! I appreciated the writings with the artwork. It helps us know you better. Know that you are all in our prayers of gratitude! - Mindy and Gregg leblanc
As always, a great job! Proud of all you, and thankful you are a part of FPC. - Anon
It was all great!! As a flute player, I loved Allisons piece, as I have played that in the past and it brings back nice memories - CC HAYS
I'm so blown away by all the talent and gifts, and so so so grateful for your example of compassion and hope. Thank you all!! - Mihee

Thank you and God bless. - Gordon and Brenda duvall
It was all wonderful but I especially liked Time with Adults! I learned something...flute masks and lizards who like to be petted...thanks to all! - Martha moore wooldridge
Great job, really enjoyed seeing the youth leading the service! Great sermon, great music.. Thank you - Jackie Lanenga
Thank you for persevering and delivering a meaningful worship service this morning. It included all the “ usual parts” of our Sunday service from a youth perspective. As a former Confirmand partner, it fills my heart with joy to see how the youth from our class have grown and continue to contribute, esp those who participated today- Allison, Avery, Sam, Julia, and Clementine. Blessings to you all. - Nancy Campbell
I liked your music and your covid stories - Ryan,Rob,Patti
Every year I am just in awe of the talent of our youth at and how they share their love for God, our congregation and our church. Avery - I am so proud of you getting accepted to the Naval Academy - what an accomplishment - congratulations!! As for the service - it made me laugh, smile and cry tears of joy - all of you are an inspiration to us - thank you for sharing with us today your journey through this oh so challenging time we are in. My ark is full of hope and love because of all you and most of all because of the great God we all adore. Blessings to all! - Amy
Silly me. I thought by watching Youth Sunday virtually rather than in person that I would escape the tears that I always shed as I watch young people I have watched grow up participate so passionately in the service. But no, I teared up again. It was extremely moving. The theme of Hope and Adaptability was perfect for this year of challenges and an ever-changing environment. Avery's sermon spoke to me as in the midst of so much uncertainty it is easy to forget that God has a plan for us and to stay strong in our faith that God will be there with every challenge. So, thank you for that timely reminder. I also found the video of your lives reassuring, that you are all finding ways to adapt and move forward - despite the weirdness of things like playing a flute through a mask. The music was soothing and I always love art. And, I, like Julia, found solace this year in tending my garden. Best wishes to all the youth and thanks to all of you and your adult helpers for making this another memorable Youth Sunday. - Susan Gross
